His Review:
Unlike most romantic comedy scripts, Going the Distance‘s main protagonist is the distance between Garrett (Justin Long) and Erin (Drew Barrymore), and not any personal issues they need to work out. They both love each other and dream of being together but their job situation keeps them across the county. In my opinion, Justin Long and Drew Barrymore have plenty of charm on their own, but when you throw these loveable rebels together, talk about a charm explosion. I wouldn’t be surprised if you told me they are a couple in real life, but I’m pretty sure they aren’t. Christina Applegate adds even more likability to the movie as Erin’s over-anxious sister. If you can handle a little raunchy dialogue now and then, you can’t go wrong with Going the Distance. Co-starring Jim Gaffigan, Jason Sudeikis, Charlie Day and Ron Livingston.
8/10 Stars - Young, hip and funny romantic comedy both sexes will love.
