I know what you all are thinking… a bus? Is this some kind of Speed knock off? Let me assure you that even though this movie takes place on a bus, that the movie isn’t like Speed. In fact, Speed only crossed my mind when they got on the bus, but after that, the movies feel different.
Heist, I’m pretty sure, had a very limited theatrical release and was right to DVD/digital download, and I’m not exactly sure why when movies like Transporter Reloaded get wide releases. There are some pretty big names in this movie and for the most part I enjoyed it. It is engaging and the action is decent. The acting isn’t anything new and neither is the story, but when you watch a movie like this, it doesn’t have to be. The ending surprised and caught me off-guard and for me that is a big deal. Good ending are always important to me. If you are on the fence with movie, give it a watch, I was entertained! It isn’t anything special, but this is the rare movie that I thought should have gotten a wider release than it did.
7/10 Stars – Nothing extra special, but for a straight-to-dvd release, this was pretty good.
