Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (2009)

His Review:

Manny (Ray Romano) and Ellie (Queen Latifah) are now a couple and expecting a baby.  Sid (John Leguizamo) is running a daycare and annoying everyone while Diego (Denis Leary) is contemplating returning to the hunt after too much time being domestic.  When Sid discovers 3 eggs that don’t have a “mommy,” he decides to take them as his own until the true mother shows up to take her DINOSAUR babies, along with Sid, back to the hidden world no one knew existed.  Everyone heads after them and run into our newest member, Buck (Simon Pegg), who claims to have been battling the dinosaurs for years, but we can all tell all his not all right in the mind.  Now they must get Sid back before the rest of the dinosaurs attack!

If you have read my review for Ice Age 2, then that pretty much says it all.  Again, the characters take center stage while the story is thin and weak.  I do like the addition of Buck due to him being voiced by Simon Pegg because that characters is pretty funny.  Either way, if you have seen the first 2, then you know you are going to see this movie and kids will love it, but it’s pretty much the ”been there, done that” mentality.  Co-starring voices from Seann William Scott and Josh Peck.

7/10 Stars – Great visuals but the story is still pretty generic and “been there, done that.”
