Ted 2 (2015)
Ted (Seth MacFarlane) and his wife Tami-Lynn (Jessica Barth) are on hard times, but they decide that having a baby might solve their problems. The only problem with this idea is that Ted has no penis so they must adopt, but in the eyes of the law, Ted is not considered a person as he is, well, a teddy bear. John (Mark Wahlberg) and Ted decide to get a lawyer (Amanda Seyfried) to prove that he is indeed a person and thus will allow him to get a baby with his wife.
The idea behind Ted 2 is pretty much the same as the first movie. It’s about a talking foul-mouth teddy bear whose best friend is Mark Wahlberg. This time around the story is even weirder than the first movie, but if you liked the original, than you will probably like this. The comedy is still very strong and will make you laugh out loud quite a bit, but don’t expect the story to be as gripping this time around. I thought that the extra characters keep this movie fresh and I really liked Patrick Warburton at the end dressed as The Tick and Tom Brady as himself.
I feel like there should be more for me to say about Ted 2, but basically if you like the toilet humor of the first (and yes I do recommend you watch that one first) then give this one a try. It can’t hurt and you will probably laugh! Co-starring Morgan Freeman, Dennis Haysbert, Richard Schiff, Giovanni Ribisi, John Carroll Lynch, Patrick Stewart, and Liam Neeson.
6/10 Stars – It might be stupid and have no purpose, but it will make you laugh… if you like this sort of thing
