When the Bough Breaks (2016)
John and Laura (Morris Chestnut and Regina Hill) desperately want a baby, but they can’t have one of their own. Both have highly professional jobs which allow them to hire a surrogate named Anna (Jaz Sinclair) who seems like the perfect fit, but as the pregnancy moves along, Anna becomes more and more obsessed with John. Before long, the perfect surrogate becomes a giant mistake!
This movie is garbage. It isn’t thrilling, horrific or shocking. The story is bland, boring and overdone. There are far better movie out there that do this tired plot much better. Seriously, this movie doesn’t even get close to scary or frightening! The crazy surrogate doesn’t even get remotely “dangerous” as we have seen from other movies such as The Boy Next Door and The Perfect Stranger. The only reason this movie will get a second look in the movie industry is because of Morris Chestnut and Regina Hill, otherwise don’t waste your time! That is all… Co-starring Michael K. Williams, Romany Malco, Theo Rossi, and Tom Nowicki.
3/10 Stars – Boring, lackluster, not scary, not freaky, not shocking, not entertaining pile of crap that stars Morris Chestnut and Regina Hill.
